Star Wars // May the Fourth

Star Wars // May the Fourth

May the 4th be with you!

We are unabashed geeks around here and many of our friends are fans of Star Wars, Star Trek, or (gasp!) both… regardless of which side you take there is no way of denying that Star Wars Day is the best movie-themed day in the galaxy!

Me. Geeking.

Me. Geeking.

Since we are all about food and movie tie-ins, we rounded up some of the best Star Wars-themed recipes to share with you. Just googling “Star Wars-themed food” turns up about 291,000,000 results… Here are our favorite four recipes that will put a stronger fourth in you:

Blue Milk from Movie News

Blue Milk recipe

We had some at Galaxy’s Edge and it is quite good. So no doubt you’ll want to be sipping this while you binge in a galaxy far, far away.

The Blue Milk recipe above comes from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook and yes, that’s a big deal! The Disney parks are notorious for keeping their recipes locked away but they released a ton of the recipes Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge so there will be no try, only DO.

Sarlacc Bundt Cake from Yummy Crumble

Remember the Sarlacc in Return of the Jedi? Of course, you do, and now you can race your fork skiff over it and devour the Sarlacc before it eats you (waiting for Bobba Fett to get swallowed first is optional)

Carrie Fisher, rest her soul, quite openly despised her hair, but damn if I don’t get hungry every time I see those iconic buns! Don’t believe me? Check out this Allure interview of Fisher from 2015. Honor the princess and make them… it’s your only hope!

Lightsaber Pretzel Rods from The Inspiration Edit

If you’ve got kids cooped up in the house (right?) put them to work building their own lightsabers! Just open the pantry and get out all those sweet cake decorating leftovers and put them to work with these creative treats.

Secret Bonus!

BLUE MILK PUDDING from StarWars.com

While we already shared the official Blue Milk recipe, the idea of drinking Bantha milk may make you squeamish. If you still want that Skywalker vibe, this pudding variation seems right up your alley and best of all, it’s from Jenn Fujikawa and she’s crushing the rebel nom with more recipes than clone troopers on StarWars.com!

That rounds up our top four for the fourth, now go forth and get your force on in the kitchen.
